A Sales Design Consultant with Budget Blinds involves showing people our beautiful window coverings and helping them select the best solutions for their homes. The Sales Consultant builds relationships by using their knowledge of Budget Blinds products to connect with interested customers and drive revenue.
 
Responsibilities
Provides effective in-home consultations through knowledge of Budget Blinds products.
  • Builds rapport by using a consultative sale process.
  • Assists customers in the design and selection of quality window coverings by offering a shop-at-home experience.
  • Able to make recommendations based on strong product knowledge and understanding of window covering benefits.
  •  Products change continuously; the sales consultant must actively use the resources on The Source and regular product training to stay current with product changes and new introductions to the marketplace.
Provides an exceptional customer experience.
  • Sets an agenda for consultations and manages time effectively.
  • Identifies the needs of the customer before and during the consultation.
  • Provides service after the purchase and installation.
  • Understands the customer’s budget and present the products to close the sale.
  • Manages the customer to come to a decision with the ability to close sales up to 70% of the time.
  • Communicates effectively with the customer on any re-make or warranty issues.
Uses resources effectively while managing the customer account.
  • Develops proposals using computer systems to close the sale (ie. Touchpoint, The Source) 
  • Navigates through manufacturer electronic portals and leans new technology as introduced to the window covering industry.
  • Pays attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of orders so remakes are less than 3% annually.
Generates new and referral business.
  • Builds relationships with builders, realtors, and designers to introduce Budget Blinds and network on referrals.
  • Generate leads by presenting the referral program to customers.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma
  • 2 years of sales experience preferred
  • Excellent written correspondence skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Honest, Respectful, and Service Oriented required
  • Must have reliable transportation, clean driving record, and pass a background check
Nice to have
  • Experience with window coverings including drapery is helpful
  • Previous experience with invoicing is helpful
  • Experience with a CRM is strongly preferred
